} ABOUT INTERSTATE

The Interstate Programme is a non-profit venture that brings together future business leaders to analyse developments in the European Union, with a special focus on its relations with the US.

Following serious cracks in United States-European Union relations over Iraq and a number of trade issues, there has rarely been a greater need for intelligent reflection on the importance of these relations – especially by those likely to occupy future leadership roles on both sides of the Atlantic.

The programme has three ojectives:

Interstate people will keep in touch because it is professionally useful for them to do so.

Designed for students following top MBA programmes in the United States and Europe, the Interstate Programme is sponsored by major international companies and institutions.

During a series of high quality seminars and debates, participants have an opportunity to test their own ideas and views against those of politicians, business people, senior public officials and expert observers and commentators.

Since its establishment in 2000, the Interstate Programme has established itself as a unique and highly-valued event. The Interstate Programme to be held in Brussels in the summer of 2010 will be the eleventh in the annual series.
