The eleventh annual Interstate Programme is now in preparation for summer 2010. It will be held in Brussels.

Like all Interstate Programmes, the 2010 edition will work on the principle of "learning by discussion". High-level speakers will be asked to provide a brief, provocative introduction to their topics, and then to lead discussion among participants.

To enable the Programme to reflect the issues at the top of the political and business agendas at the time, precise topics for the event will be decided only in the weeks immediately beforehand. However certain features of the programme are already clear: we shall look at the EU/US relations eighteen months into the Obama Administration; and we shall discuss the implications of administration changes in important EU member states such as Germany and UK. Expert panels will discuss the global economic situation and ways out of recession.

The full 2010 Programme will be published here early in May. In the meantime, the 2009 Programme will give an impression of the format of the three days, and the level of speakers to be expected.
